Jill Noble, a 1987 graduate of Heidelberg College, left her mark in volleyball for the Student Princes. Coming to Heidelberg from Ashland High School, Noble quickly took charge on the collegiate level by earning a varsity award as a freshman before beginning a string of three straight Most Valuable Player A wards.

Her senior year had her walking off with first team All-OAC and All-Ohio awards as she again served as co-captain for the Student Princes.

She was the MVP as a junior when she landed second team All-OAC and All-Ohio honors as the team co-captain.

After earning her varsity award as a freshman in 1983, Noble returned as a sophomore to be named the MVP of her team and second team All-OAC.

What made Noble a top talent in volleyball was her quickness, speed and dedication to the sport. You didn't have to remind her of a practice session as she might beat you to the court.

Heidelberg need only look at Noble's accomplishments in high school to discover it had a standout ready to wear the red, orange and black that first year.

At Ashland High School she was the MVP her senior year and also received the Best Hitter and Best Server awards. As a junior she was a member of the Cardinal Conference and sectional tournament championship team and received the Best Hitter Award.

An all-around athlete, Noble also excelled in basketball and track at Ashland.

Her senior season at Ashland found her leading the basketball team in assists while being named the Most Valuable Runner and walking off with the Most Running Points Award.

During her junior year she had the best field goal percentage in basketball and was the Most Valuable Runner and also received the Most Running Points Award on a conference championship squad. And in her first year in high school track in 1981 at Ashland she received the Most Improved Award.

Currently teaching Algebra II, Math Essentials and Senior Math at Colonel Crawford High School in North Robinson, Ohio in Crawford County, Noble has compiled an impressive coaching record. She has served as the head volleyball coach from 1987 and has led her teams to sectional crowns in 1989, 1990, 1993 and 1994 as well as a district runner-up finish in 1990.

Throughout her life Noble has demanded excellence of herself and the athletes she has coached. Her demands have been met time and time again.

And time and time again the end result has been success.
