Darnell becomes the first Heidelberg men's soccer player to be enshrined in the Athletic Hall of Fame after a standout career.

Darnell established many of the 'Berg's scoring records and still holds the mark for most career goals.

A star soccer player in his native Kenosha, Wisconsin, Darnell got his first taste of Heidelberg at the Great Britain Buckeye Soccer camps, where he was introduced to men's soccer coach Brian Haley.

On the soccer field, Darnell is the only player in 'Berg history to be named the first-team All-OAC four seasons, while earning 'Berg MVP honors in three of those seasons. He was named a Division III All-American and also a third-team NSCAA All-American. His 20-goal season of 1995 earned his the OAC Offensive Player of the Year Award.

Darnell is employed as a senior account executive with Insight Enterprises and is based in the Phoenix area.
