Heidelberg Athletics Hall of Fame
Frederick Fabrizio was a standout on the football field during his career at Heidelberg. The three year-letter-winner earned team MVP honors and was named honorable mention All-OAC following his senior season. The squads compiled a 25-11 mark and tied for the OAC championships in 1959.
Fabrizio, a 1957 graduate of Youngstown East High School, continued his education at The Ohio State University, where he received his certification in physical therapy in 1962.
He is currently the president of P.T. Services in Tiffin and has been since 1972. He served as the director of physical therapy at St. Francis from 1965 through 1987.
Fabrizio has remained active in the Tiffin area, as a member of the Knights of Columbus and on the Council of Catholic Education. He is a member of the Board of Trustees at the St. Francis Foundation and Old Fort Banking Company. He is a past board member for the First Bank of Tiffin and St. Mary's School.
Fabrizio married Carmella Perna in 1962, she died in 1988. The couple had four children, Lisa (Lucius), Michael, Dominic, and John. He was remarried in 1992 to Kathleen Behm and has three step-children: John Kleinhenz, Laura Conn, and Jennifer Behm.
