Heidelberg Athletics Hall of Fame
Robert "Bo" Reid was a standout on the Heidelberg football team from 1956-1958 and then in 1960.
During his senior season of 1960, Bo led The 'Berg in receiving and touchdowns. Bo scored 10 times during his senior season while hauling 10 passes for 313 yards. He finished second on the squad in rushing with 470 yards and five scores.
A member of Heidelberg's baseball team his first year, Bo played catcher and center field, leading the team in innings played. He left the baseball diamond for the football field under the "direction" of Coach Hoernemann following his first season.
A native of Lancaster, Bo is the eighth in a family of 14 children.
Following his graduation from The 'Berg he coached at St. Joe's for two years before joining the Army and playing two more seasons of football in Germany. He has worked for Tiffin Ford since returning from the Army. He has also been active in the Tiffin Community, working on Tiffin's Park and Recreation Board and working with the Hilltoppers and Calvert Booster Clubs.
Bo is married to Mary (Perna) Reid, a native of Tiffin.
