Heidelberg Athletics Hall of Fame
Greg Lehrer earned his way into the Hall of Fame after a spectacular career for Heidelberg as a wide receiver.
He was a four-year letter-winner as a member of the football team. Lehrer was a first-team OAC selection in 1992 and 1993. His best seasons came in 1992 when he earned All-America Honorable Mention and in 1993 as a third-team All-American selection.
In four seasons, Lehrer broke five school records that still stand today. He holds the top marks for receptions in a single game (14), season (87) and career (176) along with most
receiving yards in a single season (1,202) and career (2,586).
Lehrer was team captain as a senior in 1993 when the Student Princes finished 8-2, their best season since 1972. He considers the team feat his proudest accomplishment.
After graduating from Heidelberg, Lehrer started a landscaping company while earning his real estate and insurance licenses. In 1998 he opened the G. Lehrer Insurance Agency. He later sold the agency to become a partner in a larger agency selling auto, home, business, health and life insurance. Lehrer also owns six residential rental properties and he is 50 percent owner of a six-unit medical building in Canton.
Originally from Munroe Falls, Ohio, Lehrer attended Stow/Munroe Falls High School, where he played four years of football and baseball before graduating in 1990.
Lehrer is married to Tiffin native Nicole (Margraf) Lehrer. Â They reside in Silver Lake, Ohio, with their two-year old son, Carson.
