Heidelberg Athletics Hall of Fame
One of the most prolific power hitters in Heidelberg baseball history, Aaron Fischer's name can be found all over the Student Price record books.
Fischer ended his playing career at Heidelberg on a high note, being named OAC Player of the Year in 2000 as well as a CoSIDA 1st team All-American, ABCA 2nd team All-Midwest Region and Academic All-OAC. He also earned 1st team All-OAC honors in 1998.
In 1998, Fischer finished the season with a .452 batting average, which still stands atop the Heidelberg leader board for highest batting average in a season. He also had a .523 slugging percentage that year, the second-highest in school history.
Fischer's power numbers left a mark on the career record books, as he ranks second in school history with 31 home runs as well as second in with a .667 career slugging percentage.
His baseball career did not end at Heidelberg as Fischer went on to play from 2000-2002 for the Canton Crocodiles of the Frontier League.
After completing his bachelor of science in sports medicine in 2000, Fischer was an assistant baseball coach for the Student Princes from 2001-2002 where he went on to earn his bachelor of arts in education in 2002. Continuing with his education, Fischer received his master's in education administration in 2009 from Cal State University San Bernardino.
Fischer is currently a physical education teacher at Badger Springs Middle School in the Moreno Valley Unified School District, where he has been since 2002 when he finished his second degree at Heidelberg.
Fischer resides in Riverside, California, with his wife, Robin.
