Box Score UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio -- The Heidelberg University Women's Soccer team picked up their third season win against John Carroll University, finishing 2-0. A vital performance in goal by Maddi Springer kept The Berg ahead until the end. 

In the first 45 minutes the Student Princes were able to capitalize on two goals, taking the lead early in the match. 

In the 14th minute Harper Danze passed the ball to Ella Jacobs, who then played the ball across the box. On the other side of the field, Alayna Hahn executed. With a tap from her right foot, she snuck the ball past the keeper into the back of the net. 

17 minutes later, Berg put another point on the board. Once again, midfielder Ella Jacobs earned the assist. Jacobs cut the ball through the defensive line, where Brianna Braatz was ready to attack the goal. With a flick from the outside of her foot, the ball found the low right corner of the net. 

Jacobs tied her career best assists in a single game, two, with Berg's 3-0 win against Earlham earlier this month.

Maddi Springer played an energetic 90 minutes, with several hard-earned saves. In total she tallied six saves on the night. The Blue Streaks recorded 21 shots, with 0 allowed in by Springer. 

The women will return to Hoernemann Stadium on Saturday for Alumni Day! The Student Princes will take on the Albion College Britons at 7 p.m.
