3/6/2026 3:37:00 PM

FT. PIERCE, Fla. -- The Heidelberg University Baseball was in control for six innings in their Florida trip opener, but the 'Berg bullpen was roughed up late in a 10-2 loss to Misericordia University on Friday. Heidelberg slipped to 5-2 on the year.

Scoreless in the third, Logan Winstead led off with a double to left center. After moving to third on a groundout, he jogged home on a single by Brayden Tucker.  Garrett Labeau drove in Tucker with a two-out single to left.

'Berg starter Jameson Oleson threw 6.1 innings, but allowed a game-tying home run in the seventh. Misericordia, two years removed from a national championship, added eight more runs off of the bullpen.

Heidelberg had six hits on the afternoon.

Varsity action resumes at 10 a.m. on Saturday. HU battles Susquehanna.
