Capital pulls away after halftime

Box Score BEXLEY, Ohio --  The Heidelberg University Men's Lacrosse team lost a conference contest at Capital University on Wednesday, falling 19-2  

Heidelberg remains winless in OAC action, slipping to 3-10, 0-6.  

Down 3-0 after one, Heidelberg got on the board with a Mario Manzardo goal early in the second quarter. Shooting from a tough angle on the right side, Manzardo beat the Comets goalie, picking up his 11th goal of the year. 

Knifing between defenders coming from behind the goal, Colin Parker scored a goal with less than four minutes to play in the half. Capital led, 7-2, at halftime. 

Unfortunately for Heidelberg, Capital scored six in both the third and the fourth.

In the crease, Wilson Runnette made 25 saves -- the second -highest single-game total in program history.  

Heidelberg returns to action on Saturday with a home game against Mount Union. The contest with the Purple Raiders is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start.
