LAX concludes 2026 season

BEXLEY, Ohio --  The 2026 season for the Heidelberg University Men's Lacrosse team came to an end on Tuesday with a 21-4 setback at Capital University. 

The Student Princes were 5-11 overall and 1-7 in the OAC.  

Heidelberg had two goals from both Rayce Septer and Mario Manzardo. Septer and Kaivin Jones tallied assists.  

Sean McGee made 18 saves in his second collegiate start.  

For the season, Septer led the team with 28 goals and 41 points … one of four 20-goal scorers. Malahcai Davis registered 25 goals and 40 points while Manzardo had 22 goals and Jones finished with 21 goals.  Colin Parker had a team-high 16 assists, while Davis and Jones both had 15.  

Defensively, MJ Yarosh caused a team best 20 turnovers and picked up 49 ground balls. 

In goal, Wilson Runnette made 209 saves before a season-ending injury -- his fourth season with 200+ stops.

On the career list, Runnette added to his program record for saves -- finishing with 937 saves.  Septer ended with 94 points (4th), 26 assists (4th) and 66 goals (6th).  

The five victories were the most for HU since the 2019 team had six wins.
