WEST LAFAYETTE – The Heidelberg Men's Golf team competed over the weekend in the OAC Fall Preview at River Greens Golf Course, finishing fifth overall with a team score of 302-294--596.

Josh Ferdon led the way, placing seventh after shooting a career-best 70 on day two. He recorded an eagle on the 17th hole during the first round and added five birdies on day two, finishing with a two-day total of 74-70—144.

Emerson Grassbaugh tied for 18th, posting rounds of 77 and 74 for a total score of 151. He tallied eight birdies over the weekend.

Matthew Peter bounced back on day two with a collegiate-best 71, following an opening-round 82. His 82-71—153 total placed him in a tie for 23rd.

Jimmy Johnston tied for 26th with rounds of 76 and 79 for a total of 155, while Logan Niese finished tied for 41st with scores of 75 and 85, totaling 160.

The Berg returns to action on Monday, October 13, at the Lourdes Invitational in Sylvania, Ohio.
