WESTERVILLE, Ohio -- With a pair of shutouts, Heidelberg University Women's Soccer goalkeeper Brigid Enright has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, sponsored by Midstream Lighting. Enright and the Student Princes defeated two schools from the North Coast Athletic Conference, beating Oberlin (1-0) and Hiram (2-0).

Enright's personal scoreless-minutes streak has reached 393 minutes, dating back to Sept. 14. For the year, she has tallied five clean sheets, bringing her career total up to eight.

"Brigid is absolutely deserving of the honor," said Head Coach Maddie McLaughlin. "With a well-organized back line in front of her, she has been such a steady force for us all year long."

Enright is the team's second Player of the Week honoree of the season, joining Brianna Braatz, who was the offensive recipient on Sept. 9. Heidelberg's last defensive honoree was Meredith Bruce in 2021.

Heading into OAC action, the Student Princes are an impressive 7-1-1 on the season. Heidelberg hosts Wilmington College (4-2-2) on Saturday to commence OAC action. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. at the Hidden Valley Soccer Complex.
