ALLIANCE, Ohio -- The Heidelberg University Women's Soccer team came up short against the Purple Raiders of Mt. Union Saturday afternoon with a final score of 2-1.
Brianna Braatz took initiative burying the ball in the left corner of the net, slipping just past the Purple Raiders goalkeeper, scoring the first goal for HU just five minutes after the first whistle.
The Purple Raiders remained scoreless in the first half.
In the 59th minute, Mt. Union's Rachel Chenos buried the equalizer into Berg's net, bringing the game 1-1.
Moments later in the 63rd minute, Chenos added another point on the board for the Purple Raiders.
HU could not seem to come back from those two crucial goals.

The Student Princes are back in action Saturday Oct. 25 for Senior Day in Hidden Valley with a matchup against Muskingum.
