MLAX frozen by the Polar Bears

Box Score ADA – A strong first half got the best of the Heidelberg University Men's Lacrosse team as they traveled to Ohio Northern on Wednesday night. Sophomore goalie, Wilson Runnette tallied 21 saves in the 20-1 loss. 

The Tricolor were outscored 13-1 in the first half and managed to hold the Polar Bears to seven in the second. 

Heidelberg's lone goal came from Tyler Alexander, unassisted, at 5:41 in the first quarter. The goal was his 15th of the season and 38th in his career. 

Alexander took four of Heidelberg's 10 shots, while Ohio Northern tallied 55. 

In goal, Wilson Runnette made 21 saves. That tied his career second-best of 21, which he made against Hanover on 3/9. His current career best is 28, which he posted against Westminster last season and holds the program record. 

The Student Princes combined for 17 ground balls – lead by five from Jonathon Brickman, three from Runnette, and two from both Trevor Ley and Braxton Hammond

The men's lacrosse team will return to action on Saturday afternoon for another unusual setting, as they play Otterbein at 6 p.m. in the Tiffin Columbian/TU Frost-Kalnow Stadium.
