WLAX: Capital too much for 'Berg

TIFFIN, Ohio -- The Heidelberg University women's lacrosse team fell at home on Wednesday, 19-1, at the hands of Capital University. The Crusaders built a 12-0 lead by halftime en route to the victory.

Capital improved to 8-4 and remained unbeaten in the OAC (5-0). Heidelberg dropped to 7-6, 1-3.

The visitors scored the first 15 goals of the contest. Jen Kovarik scored the lone goal of the game for Heidelberg -- an unassisted tally with 13:16 left to play.

Makenna Ozenghar had a five-goal night for Capital.

In goal for Heidelberg, Mandi Phillips made eight saves. Defensively, Bri Casement led HU with two caused turnovers.

The Student Princes will trek to Alliance to face Mount Union on Saturday at 1 p.m.
