WLAX: Dudley nets two in loss

BEXLEY, Ohio -- In their final road game of the season, the Heidelberg University women's lacrosse team fell to Capital University, 20-2.

The Crusaders broke out to a 6-0 lead before the Student Princes got on the board. Junior Dana Dudley registered her 22nd goal of the season less than ten minutes into the game.

Capital went on another 6-0 run before Dudley scored the second Student Prince goal of the afternoon, this time on a free position shot. The Crusaders would continue the momentum into the second half, holding on for a commanding win.

Freshmen goalies Jessica Ballow and Mandi Phillips split time between the pipes. Ballow made eight saves while Phillips tallied five.

Heidelberg returns to its home turf for a matchup against John Carroll on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. start.
