ALLIANCE, Ohio -- The Heidelberg University men's tennis team's season came to an end Tuesday afternoon in the first round of the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament. The team fell to the University of Mount Union, 5-0.
The Purple Raiders swept the field in doubles play. The team of Paul Claymier and Ben Moore fell 8-1, as Dan Driscoll and Tate Schoen also dropped their match, 8-1.
Mount Union went on to win two singles matches to ultimately take the match from the Student Princes.
Heidelberg competed as the No. 7 seed as MTU was the No. 2 seed.
The match concludes the season for the Heidelberg men's tennis team. The team ended 2017 with a 3-14 record.
