TIFFIN -- The Heidelberg University women's lacrosse team lost its first-ever Ohio Athletic Conference contest, 17-2, to Otterbein University. Heidelberg goalkeeper Janessa Scott tallied a career-high 15 saves in the loss.

The Student Princes dropped to 0-4 (0-1 OAC) in their inaugural season. Otterbein got back to .500 at 4-4 (1-0).

Dana Dudley and Anna Winnicki were the goal scorers for the Tricolor. Dudley has 11 goals on the season and Winnicki has six goals.

Otterbein's Katy Williams scored eight goals in the winning effort.

Heidelberg returns to action with a non-conference home game on Wednesday. The battle with Ohio Wesleyan (3-4) begins at 7 p.m.
