Men's Tennis throttles Muskingum 9-0

MASON, Ohio – The Heidelberg University men's tennis team ran their win streak to three on Sunday, as they defeated Muskingum at the Linder Family Tennis Center. The Student Princes were dominant in the match and earned the clean sweep for a 9-0 win.

With the win, Heidelberg improved to 5-6 (2-2 OAC) while Muskingum slipped to 0-11 (0-7 OAC).

The Berg swept the doubles matches with relative ease, as the Muskies only managed to win a pair of games at third doubles.

Jonathan Long picked up a 6-0, 6-1 win at first singles, improving his record to a team-best 9-5 on the year.

Ben Moore, Tyler Flickinger, Paul Claymier, and Kyle Simpson each cruised to two-set wins while Dan Driscoll won 6-1, 7-6 (7-2) at fourth singles to wrap up the match for HU.

Heidelberg returns home on Tuesday, April 19th, when they face John Carroll in another Ohio Athletic Conference match. That contest is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m. in Tiffin.
