LEXINGTON - After having the match postponed due to weather, the Heidelberg University men's tennis team finally took to the courts to face Mount Union on Sunday in Lexington. The Student Princes struggled and were swept on the day 9-0, but manged to battle in a couple of closely-contested matches.
In singles play, Kyle Simpson had a tough loss at sixth singles. After winning a dominating 6-1 first set, he dropped the second 6-1 before falling 10-6 in the tiebreaker to drop the match.
In doubles play, Tyler Flickinger and Jonathan Long had the closest match, falling 8-6 at first doubles.
Heidelberg is scheduled to be back in action tomorrow when they host Defiance, weather pending.
