Box Score NEW CONCORD, Ohio -- A late comeback fell short as the Heidelberg University women's soccer team dropped their OAC opener to Muskingum University 3-2. HU falls to 5-4-2, 0-1 OAC while the Muskies improve to 4-6, 1-0 OAC.
The Muskies got on the board first with a goal late in the first half on a 1v1. They pushed their lead to 2-0 early in the second half when Miranda Bishop knocked the ball in off a cross.
HU cut the lead in half two minutes later. Erica Campbell scored her team-leading fifth goal of the season on a shot from inside the box that found the lower 90.
Muskingum scored a key insurance goal in the 83rd minute when they bodied in a goal from a free kick.
With under two minutes to play, the Berg cut the lead to 3-2. McKenzie Perry scored off a long free kick feed from Darby Moloney. The HU comeback would fall short as the Muskies would escape with the win.

Freshman goalkeeper Bri Casement made two saves in the match. MU keeper Liz Mitchell tallied five saves.
The two teams combined for 30 fouls.
Heidelberg outshot Muskingum 19-13.
