WESTERVILLE – The Heidelberg University men's tennis team dropped their regular-season finale on Friday in a 9-0 match at Otterbein. The Student Princes dropped to 2-13 (2-6 OAC) following the defeat.
Ben Moore and Tyler Flickinger dropped a tough 8-3 match at first doubles while Paul Claymier and Jamie Cole lost 8-2 at second doubles.
In singles action, the Student Princes had a rough time getting anything going, as they were unable to manage more than two games in one set. At fifth singles, Kyle Simpson fell 6-2, 6-0. Both Cole and Moore dropped their singles matches 6-1, 6-1 to the Cardinals, who are currently tied for the conference lead.
The Student Princes will be on the courts again on April 28th in the OAC Championships.
