BEREA, Ohio – The Heidelberg University men's tennis team closed out their season with a 5-0 defeat at the hands of the Baldwin Wallace Yellow Jackets in the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournamnet quarterfinals.
The Yellow Jackets opened the match by sweeping doubles action.
The senior duo of 'Berg number one Zach Schwenning and Matt McDivitt could not fight off their BW counterpart as they went down, 8-4.
Junior Dorian Kempf and freshman Tyler Flickinger dropped the second doubles match, 8-3, before the duo of Ben Moore and Dan Driscoll surrendered the third doubles contest, 8-4.
In singles action, Moore fell, 6-0, 6-1, in the number three singles match to put the Berg behind 4-0. The sixth singles match would be the final matchup to go the distance.
The sophomore Driscoll fell, 6-0, 6-1 to conclude the match and the 2014 season.
The Student Princes finish 7-12 overall and 2-6 in the OAC regular season action.
