Box Score

ALLIANCE – The Heidelberg University women's soccer team battled the University of Mount Union and the cold weather on Saturday night, falling by a final score of 4-1. The Purple Raiders scored three times in the first period and never looked back, with the lone goal for the Berg coming just before halftime.

A third first-half goal pushed the Purple Raider lead to a commanding three, but Heidelberg did not stop fighting, and it paid off with ten second remaining in the first half. Kristen Keenan was able to beat the keeper and get the Berg on the board, cutting the lead to two.

The second half did not see quite as much action as the first, as the lone score in the period came in the 76th minute, as Mount Union extended their lead back to three goals, which held steady for a final score of 4-1.
