TIFFIN -- The Heidelberg University Women's Soccer team concluded non-conference action with a resounding 3-0 win over visiting Mount St. Joseph on Sunday at the Hidden Valley Soccer Complex. The Student Princes head into Ohio Athletic Conference action with a 3-4-2 record and are unbeaten in their last four contests.
With the clean sheet, goalkeeper
Brigid Enright extended her shutout streak to 287 minutes. The senior made five saves.Â
Having missed a few golden opportunities early, Heidelberg finally scored in the 22nd minute.
Brianna Braatz got behind the defense and moved into the penalty area all alone. The goalkeeper made a spectacular save, pushing the shot aside. Astutely, Braatz sprinted to the loose ball and made her way toward the middle. There, she laid a perfect pass to
Syd Hewer, who hammered it home. Â
Up 1-0 in the second half, Braatz scored two more goals in quick succession. Using her speed, she scored in the 78th and 80th minute. The first was an unassisted tally and the second was helped by Hewer. Â
Heidelberg held an 18-12 advantage in shots. Â
The Student Princes open OAC play on Saturday at Wilmington. Â
