WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio -- Powered by all-conference performances from
Lydia Dietz and
Danielle Powell, the Heidelberg University Women's Golf team took home a fourth-place finish at the OAC Championship, played at River Greens Golf Course. Heidelberg's four-round score was 337-349-345-345--1376, 10 shots off of third place.
The fourth-place finish ties the program's best mark, having accomplished the feat in 2017 and 2023.
Dietz finished fourth on the individual leaderboard, the highest a 'Berg women's golfer has placed since Autumn Simpson was the runner-up in 2019. Now a two-time All-OAC honoree, Dietz carded a 75-84-83-84--326.
Powell returned to the All-OAC honor roll for the second time and first since her 13th-place finish in 2023. Shooting a steady 85-85-84-86--340, Powell finished seventh overall.
Brooke Barnes took 19th place with an 88-89-97-90--354.
Elizabeth Jackson turned in her best round of the weekend on Sunday, placing 23rd with an 89-91-91-87--358. Likewise,
Anzaya Estep had a strong Sunday to cap her weekend. Her 89-101-92-88--370 resulted in a 28th place finish.
Dietz and Powell are believed to be the first teammates to earn All-OAC accolades in the same season.
Mount Union won the team title, besting ONU by two strokes. ONU's Marisa Alfes took top honors with a 79-76-82-76--313.
