HANOVER, Indiana -- In a challenging non-conference encounter, the Heidelberg University Men's Lacrosse team faced a tough defeat against the Hanover Panthers with a final score of 18-6.
The game began on a competitive note but quickly swayed in favor of Hanover, who managed to secure a significant lead by halftime with a score of 6-2. Despite efforts from Heidelberg to bridge the gap, Hanover maintained their dominance throughout the game, concluding with a substantial 18-6 victory.Â
Heidelberg's attempts to rally were highlighted by notable performances from
Mario Manzardo and
Tyler Alexander, each scoring twice, and
Benjamin Evans who added a single goal. Alexander and Evans also contributed to assists during the game.
In goal,
Wilson Runnette, facing a relentless Hanover attack, finished with 13 saves in the loss.
The Student Princes will look to rebound from this setback as they prepare for their next game on Wednesday at Hoernemann Stadium against Thiel. The game is slated for a 6 p.m. start.
