The Heidelberg University Swim Teams opened their 2025-26 season this weekend at Ohio Wesleyan University on Friday afternoon and at home at the Tiffin YMCA on Saturday afternoon. 

At OWU, The Men's team fell 127-42 and the Women's team fell 125-90 points. 

On Friday, the Student Princes took first place in the Women's 200 Yard Medley Relay (1:57.48), Andrey Pilipchuk, earned first place in the Men's 200 Yard Freestyle (1:51.54) and the Men's 100 Yard Butterfly (54.11), Elizabeth Mayer placed first in the Women's 100 Yard Butterfly, and Delaney Buxton earns points for Berg in the Women's 100 Yard Freestyle (58.38)

Saturday's meet was relocated from Ada to Tiffin unexpectedly. At home, both teams fell to Ohio Northern and Bethel. The men lost to ONU, 171-20, and to Bethel, 123-44. The women were tripped up by the Polar Bears, 109-83, and by Bethel, 170-34.

HU is back in the water at their home pool located in the Tiffin YMCA on Saturday Oct. 18, competing against ONU and Bethel College at 2 p.m.
