HIRAM, Ohio -- The Heidelberg University Swim teams had a strong showing at a dual meet with Hiram College. The women came away with a dominant win, 195-19, and the men battled, but fell, 139-76. For the first time in program history, the women won every single event.
Elli Mayer won all four of her events -- the 100 back, the 50 free, the 100 fly and as part of the 200 medley relay.
Hannah Robinson also won each of her events. She won the 200 back, the 400 IM, along with the 200 medley relay and 200 free relay.
Mackenzie Hoffman won the 1500 and 400 free and
Addison Fortney took first in the 100 free and 200 free
Cassy Connare won two races -- the 100 breast and 200 breast.
Courtney Kaye won the 200 fly.
On the men's side,
Zach MacDonald won the 100 free and 100 fly.
Evan Eaglin won the 200 free and
Andrey Pilipchuk took first in the 50 free.
Lance Koch capped the individual events with a win in the 400 IM.
The impending snowstorm has delayed the Battle of the Bergs -- with the home meet against Wittenberg moved from Saturday to Friday, Jan. 30. It will begin at 5 p.m.
