Syd Hewer's head, whose header bounced past the keeper and into the net to give Heidelberg an early 1-0 lead.
Later in the first half, Ohio Northern answered back, slipping a shot just past Heidelberg keeper
Brigid Enright to even the score at 1-1.
Early in the second half in the 48th minute, the Polar Bears broke through the Heidelberg defense and buried a shot into the left corner of the net, taking a 2-1 lead.
