Tiffin, Ohio -- The Heidelberg University Women's Soccer team fought through a hard-fought contest against the Marietta Pioneers to a 0-0 draw on Saturday afternoon.
The Student Princes were aggressive on the attack, recording 14 shots on goal, but couldn't find the back of the net despite several opportunities. Marietta's goalkeeper made seven key saves for the Pioneers to keep the game scoreless.
Heidelberg's keeper,
Brigid Enright recorded four saves, playing the full 90 minutes. The shutout is her fourth of the season.
Syd Hewer led the way with two shots on goal.
Ella Jacobs,
Brianna Braatz,
Caitlyn Cross, and
Morgan Adams each added one.
HU's defense stayed disciplined to keep Marietta off the scoreboard.
The Students Princes are back in action Wednesday, Oct. 15 with a matchup against Ohio Northern. The game will kickoff at 4 p.m. in Hidden Valley.
