ALLIANCE -- The Heidelberg University men's lacrosse team dropped its first OAC game of the year, falling at Mount Union, 18-3.
Tyler Alexander had two goals in the loss.
Heidelberg slipped to 4-6 overall, 1-1 in the OAC. Mount improved to 5-5, 1-1.
The Purple Raiders scored twice in the opening quarter and outshot HU, 18-1. Mount Union scored eight times in the second quarter and enjoyed a 10-0 lead at halftime.
Rayce Septer broke the shutout, scoring the first goal of the second half. He found space on the perimeter and beat the Mount Union goalkeeper.
Later in the third, a great individual effort from
Tyler Alexander put HU on the board again. The visitors trailed 15-2 after three.
Alexander scored Heidelberg's final goal -- another shot from the perimeter on the right side. Mount Union scored three times in the period and won, 18-3.

Wilson Runnette was busy, making 16 saves on 66 shot attempts.
Heidelberg returns to action on Wednesday, hosting Capital for a 7 p.m. game.
