LAX holds on for win

ANDERSON, Indiana -- In another defensive contest, the Heidelberg University Men's Lacrosse team emerged with a hard-fought 4-3 win at Anderson University. With the win, the Student Princes improved to .500 on the season. 

Jacob Brickman scored three of Heidelberg's four goals, picking up his second hat trick of the season. 

Tyler Alexander broke a scoreless tie early in the second quarter, putting an unassisted goal on the scoreboard 27 seconds in. It was the only goal of the half. 

Mason Bratcher tied the game midway through the third, but Brickman answered less than two minutes later. 

Brickman padded HU's lead three minutes into the fourth quarter, scoring at the 12:15 mark. 

After the Ravens closed the gap with a man-up goal, Brickman completed the hat trick with a goal that came with nine minutes left. Brickman's eighth goal of the season was assisted by Jacob Morgan

Heidelberg held a 26-20 edge in shots. Wilson Runnette made 10 saves in goal. 

Defensively, Braxton Hammond caused five turnovers and scooped up six ground balls.  

After three games on the road, the Student Princes return to Hoernemann Stadium on Saturday. The Berg hosts Hanover for a 1 p.m. contest.
