TIFFIN -- A sluggish start doomed the Heidelberg University Women's Basketball team in a home contest against Muskingum University. The Muskies held a 20-point lead after the first quarter and walked away with an 84-53 victory in Seiberling Gymnasium. 

The Student Princes slipped to 0-6 overall, 0-2 in the OAC. The Muskies improved to 3-3, 2-0.  

Morgan Altenburger led Heidelberg in points and rebounds, finishing with 12 and seven.  Freshman Emily Valencia was the other 'Berg player in double figures with 11 points off the bench.  

The Muskies outscored Heidelberg in points off turnovers, 32-8.  

Heidelberg is off until Saturday for final exams. HU visits Otterbein on Dec. 14 for a 1 p.m. contest with the Cardinals.
