Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Another scoreless tie for Women's Soccer

TIFFIN -- For the second OAC game in a row, the Heidelberg University Women's Soccer team fought to a scoreless draw. The 0-0 tie with Capital pushed the Student Princes to 7-1-3 on the season, 0-0-2 in conference play.

In the process, 'Berg goalkeeper Bridget Enright extended her personal shutout streak to nearly 573 minutes of action. In addition, the tie snapped a string of 23 straight losses to Capital, a run that began in 2002.

Capital, which finished second in the OAC preseason poll, had the better opportunities in the scoreless first half, including a scramble in the penalty area that culminated with a shot off the crossbar. The Comets outshot Heidelberg, 11-3.

The second half was more evenly contested, but again the Comets had the advantage in shots, 7-3. All three 'Berg shots were on frame.

Enright had 10 saves for Heidelberg while Liv Alford had four for Capital.

The Student Princes have shutout four straight opponents for just the seventh time in program history.

Heidelberg travels down to Marietta on Saturday for a 2 p.m. tussle with the Pioneers
