Lax falls at Trine; Saturday gametime changed

ANGOLA, Ind. -- Tyler Alexander scored all three goals for the Heidelberg University men's lacrosse team in a 13-3 loss at Trine University on Wednesday night.  With the setback, the Student Princes slid to 1-1 on the young season.

Alexander, who scored five times in the season-opening win over Mount St. Joseph, scored all three of his goals in the fourth quarter against the Thunder.

Trine led 3-0 after the first and held a 9-0 edge at halftime.  Alexander's first, assisted by Jaydon Septer, came midway through the fourth.  His final two goals were unassisted.

In goal, Wilson Runnette made a career-high 19 saves.

Septer was 8-for-17 in faceoffs and scooped up three ground balls.  Braxton Hammond caused a team-high two turnovers.

The Student Princes return to Hoernemann Stadium for a three-game homestand over spring break.  Saturday's game against Washington & Jefferson has been pushed back to a 2 p.m. start.
