DELAWARE, Ohio – The Heidelberg University Women's Basketball team dropped their final game of 2023 to Ohio Wesleyan, 90-52. Sophomore
Amari Slaughter led all HU scorers with 12–including 3-of-5 from deep.

Ashley Ballard two in the paint. The hosts amped up their defensive efforts and only allowed the Berg to score eight more points in the quarter.
The Battling Bishops closed the first quarter of action with a 26-13 lead.
The second quarter of play saw
Cheyanne Bean split an early pair of free-throws to cut the Heidelberg deficit to 32-14. The home team controlled the second quarter, but an
Elisha Carter shot from behind the arc with 21 seconds left in the half made the score 47-28 at the break.
Slaughter was able to tally another three in the third quarter for Heidelberg, but the hosts offense stayed hot, taking a commanding 70-37 lead into the final quarter of play.
Chole Gilbert scored the first points in the fourth quarter as she nailed a shot from distance just six seconds into action. Slaughter completed the old fashioned three-point play early in the quarter following the Kelsey Adelman foul.
The Battling Bishops were all too much in the end resulting in the 90-52 loss for Heidelberg.
