TIFFIN -- The Heidelberg University men's lacrosse team fought valiantly, but came up short in a 17-2 loss to Otterbein University on Saturday evening.
The Student Princes dropped to 1-9 overall, 1-2 in the OAC.
Heidelberg trailed 7-0 after a very physical first half. The Cardinals scored six in the third, including a pair of goals with less than a minute to play.
Jason Mills got Heidelberg on the board early in the fourth quarter. He scored from a sharp angle to the right of the goalkeeper.

Cian Howery had 15 saves in the loss.
Jacob Morgan picked up five ground balls.
Mills and Bruder combined for 11 of Heidelberg's 15 shots.
Heidelberg hosts John Carroll on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
