ALLIANCE -- The Heidelberg University men's lacrosse team dropped its final away game of the 2021 season 17-4 against Mount Union.
The Student Princes drop to 0-11, 0-8 OAC while the Purple Raiders improve to 7-5, 5-3.
Trailing 5-0,
Liam Weaver scored the first goal for The Berg with 3:50 remaining in the first quarter.
David Weaver led Heidelberg with two goals in the contest, one in the second quarter assisted by L. Weaver and another in the third quarter from
Chris Storrs.
Mount Union led 8-2 at halftime.
Jacob Brickman scored the final goal for the Tricolor with 5:25 remaining in the fourth quarter with an assist from L. Weaver.
Alex Bruder collected 13 saves in goal.
Heidelberg was out-shot 58-28 with L. Weaver taking 13 shots on the evening, six on goal. The Raiders also held a slight advantage in ground balls 36-34.
Heidelberg will host Wilmington College for Senior Day on Saturday. Four Heidelberg seniors will be honored before the game.
