Box Score UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS – The Heidelberg University women's basketball team took to the road for their first OAC contest of the season, falling to John Carroll by a final score of 72-46. The host Blue Streaks took an early lead and never looked back as the Student Princes were unable to mount a comeback.

Carli Patrick scored 10 points and pulled down 11 rebounds for her first double-double of the season.
JCU shot 50.9% from the floor compared to just 26.8% for the Berg.
46 of John Carroll's 72 points in the game were scored in the paint.
FIRST HALF
John Carroll (6-0, 1-0 OAC), fresh off an upset victory over #16 Ithaca, jumped out to a quick 7-0 advantage less than three minutes into the game.
A layup and free throw by Patrick at the 16:48 mark ended the run, making the score 7-3.
That lead ballooned for the Blue Streaks from there as they went on a 26-5 run, taking a commanding 33-8 lead with 3:42 left to play in the first half.
A 3-pointer by Jackie Abrecht at the buzzer made the score 37-19 in favor of JCU entering halftime.
SECOND HALF
The two teams traded buckets to open the second period as a pair of free throws by Marisa Liburdi made the score 43-25 at the 16:39 mark.
Heidelberg (1-3, 0-1 OAC) was unable to chip away at the deficit from there on out, as JCU closed out the 72-46 win in the conference-opener for both teams.
