BEREA -- The Heidelberg University track and field teams headed to the OAC tune up meet at Baldwin Wallace University on Friday. The meet comes just six days before the Student Princes will host the OAC Championship meet in Hoernemann Stadium next Thursday and Friday.
The men's team finished in sixth place with 33 points scored.
Heidelberg will be back on the track next week for the OAC championship meet.
Here are some of the top performances of the day for the 'Berg:
Men's 5000 meter run: Freshman
Tyler Hudson won the race in a time of 17:34.58. Also scoring points for the Student Princes was
Josh Fiorentino in third place and
Logan Kittaka in fourth.
Men's mile run:
David Drushal finished in fifth place in the mile with a time of 4:20.94.
Men's 200 meter dash:
Dan Stoll recorded a fifth-place finish for The Berg with his finishing time of 22.01.
Women's 800 meter run:
Caitlyn Mauger recorded a solid finish in the 800 with a time of 2:29.366. The freshman finished the event in ninth place.
