Career Synopsis

  • The 2020-21 season is Schmoldt's sixth year as head coach of the Heidelberg men's lacrosse program

2019-20

  • Guided Heidelberg to a 1-4 record in the shortened season

2018-19

  • Led the Student Princes to a 6-11 (3-6 OAC) record
  • Mentored Hunter Edwards to All-OAC Honorable Mention and Academic All-OAC honors
  • Coached an offense that broke three scoring records for a single season (scoring average, most goals, and most assists)

2017-18

  • Coached Heidelberg to a record of 7-9 and 1-7 in the OAC
  • Mentored 3 student-athletes to Academic All-OAC honors

2016-17

  • In its inaugural season, coached the Student Princes to a 3-13 record
  • Led the Berg to its first-ever program victory -- a double overtime thriller at Monmouth (Ill.)
  • Coached All-OAC selection Chris Storrs
  • Mentored Tyler Hammack to Academic All-OAC honors

2015-16

  • Spent the season at Heidelberg preparing the program for the upcoming inaugural year of varsity competition

2012-15

  • Served as assistant lacrosse coach and defensive coordinator at Oberlin College
  • Helped Yeomen string together three straight winning seasons for the first time since the early 90s

2007-12

  • Served as head coach for John Carroll University's club lacrosse team prior to it becoming a recognized varsity team
  • Responsible for day-to-day operations of the team, including recruiting and fundraising
  • Led team to 51-40 record during his tenure

2001-06

  • Taught and served as assistant lacrosse coach at Saint Ignatius High School

Collegiate Experience

  • 2001 Graduate of Marquette University 
  • Four-year starter and two-year captain on Marquette's club lacrosse team
  • Two-time All-Conference honoree as a defenseman
