TIFFIN – Three Heidelberg University student-athletes were recognized as Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Players of the Week, placing Heidelberg as the most recognized school for the first week of honors.
Claire Recker, a senior transfer for the Heidelberg women's golf team, earned her first-ever OAC Golfer of the Week award following an outstanding performance at the Ohio Northern Kickoff Classic, where she won the event with a 79. The following day, she competed in the ONU Campoli Classic, shooting 79 once again, and tied for second place.
The women's golf team continues its season on September 11, hosting the Heidelberg Fall Invitational at Fostoria Country Club.
Aiden Bradshaw, a junior wide receiver for the Heidelberg football team, was named OAC Offensive Player of the Week after a dominant showing in a 40-14 victory over Maryville College. The Urbana, Ohio native scored two touchdowns—tallying six catches—while covering 199 total yards. Bradshaw's longest reception was for 86 yards against the Scots.
Gryffin Bradley, a freshman kicker from Vandalia, Ohio, earned his first OAC Special Teams Player of the Week award for his breakthrough performance against Maryville. Bradley, in the first quarter, connected two successful field goals. From 31 and 37 yards, the rookie ran the score up 6-0 by the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter, after Berg's first touchdown, Bradley hit an extra point. In his collegiate debut, Bradley made a name for himself with a total of two field goals and a P.A.T.
The football team returns to action on September 12 against Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio, with kickoff set for 7:00 p.m., streamable on
