TIFFIN -- Heidelberg University Athletics has launched its sixth-annual Berg Days of Summer Campaign. The annual fundraiser encourages alumni, families, friends and fans an opportunity to directly support the Heidelberg student-athlete experience.

Since its debut in 2021, Berg Days of Summer has become one of the department's most important annual fundraising initiatives. Gifts made during the campaign help Heidelberg's athletic programs address needs that extend beyond their traditional operating budgets, including travel, equipment, technology, apparel, facility enhancements and other resources that directly benefit student-athletes.

"The Berg Days of Summer campaign is now in its sixth year and continues to be the largest and most important department-wide fundraiser we do each year," said Greg Cooper, Athletic Director.  "Your support of your favorite team or athlete goes a long way to improving what we are able to do for them as student athletes here at Heidelberg. Every dollar raised goes directly back to the program and the H Association supports all of our 25 programs."

For nearly a century, the H Association has helped maintain the connection between generations of Student Prince student-athletes. Membership includes Heidelberg alumni who earned at least one varsity letter, creating a network of more than 5,000 former student-athletes.

Through the generosity of its members and supporters, the H Association provides funding for initiatives that impact the entire athletic department. Its support includes the Heidelberg University Athletic Hall of Fame, student-athlete and coach recognition programs, awards and special recognition of championship teams.

The organization also hosts the annual Ron Linhart Memorial Back the Berg Golf Outing, its largest annual fundraiser in support of the H Association.

"For 23 years now the Ron Linhart Memorial Back the Berg Golf Outing has brought together decades of Heidelberg Alumni and Supporters raising thousands of dollars each year. While we only run two department wide events like these a year, the support of these donors is vital to our operations. I am eternally grateful for their never ending support," said Greg Cooper
