DELAWARE, Ohio -- The Heidelberg University Track & Field teams competed at Ohio Wesleyan's Marv Frye Invitational on Saturday. The men finished 5th and the women finished in 7th.
Freshman Jalani Reams finished 3rd overall in the men's javelin with a throw of 48.58m.
Josiah Brown also earned points for the men, placing 2nd in shot put throwing 14.01m.
In the men's triple jump,
Jesse Vanlerberg had a jump of 12.02m putting him in 4th place.
Sophomore
Cornell Test had an impressive day, placing 1st in pole vault, reaching 4.40m.
On the women's side for field events, freshman
Amelia Lewin placed 3rd in shot put throwing 12.39m, 5th in the hammer after she threw 41.88m, and 6th place in discus.Â

Isabella Grennell placed 4th in shot, throwing 12.05m.
In the hammer throw Kerryann Copenhaver threw 42.35m, placing 4th.Â
On the track, sophomore Cameron Long placed 6th in the 400m hurdles and 4th in the 110m hurdles.
For the sprints Travis Bolden placed 4th in the 200m dash (22.60) and in the 100m dash (10.69).
Among the distance crew, freshman
Gavin Bichsel placed 4th in the 5000m, senior
Joe Brewster placed 3rd in the 1500m with a time of 4:10.68,Â
Hudson Black placed 4th in the 800m with a time of 1:58.55
Kylie Cope placed 6th in the 800m run with a time of 2:31.85, while freshmen Annabell Hunter placed 8th, Brianna Westrick 9th, and
Lauren Hall 10th.
Up next, the Student Princes will travel back to Ohio Wesleyan University on Friday for the All-Ohio Championships.Â
