ADA -- In a game that included a lengthy weather delay, the Heidelberg University Men's Lacrosse team lost to Ohio Northern University, 25-3.
Heidelberg struck first with a goal five minutes in.
Rayce Septer passed to
Kaivin Jones behind the cage, who quickly found
Malachai Davis on the left side. Davis wasted no time beating the ONU goalkeeper.
In the third,
Colin Parker passed to a wide-open Septer in front of the crease for the goal.
HU's final goal came midway through the fourth.
Mario Manzardo took a feed from
Dusty Bernard and scored from a sharp angle on the left wing.
In goal,
Wilson Runnette made 15 stops in 49 minutes.
Sean McGee had three saves in the final 11 minutes.
MJ Yarosh caused a team-high two turnovers.
Heidelberg gets back in action on Friday at Mount Union. Gametime is scheduled for 3 p.m.
