BEXLEY, Ohio -- 13 straight games, 37 straight sets. The run of a lifetime for the Student Princes marches on.

The Heidelberg Volleyball team defeated the Capital University Comets in three on the road, 25-10, 25-13, 25-18.
In the first set, a kill and two back to back aces from
Kailee Rank gave the Student Princes momentum to go on a 8-0 run, taking the lead 8-4. Later in the set, five errors from the Comets and a kill from
Riley Tople brought the score to 20-8.Â
The Student Princes held the lead the entirety of the second, using a 5-0 string to close out the set, 25-13.
The Comets thought they had a chance in the third set to break HU's 37 straight set record, tying the match at 16-16. Another 5-0 run consisting of two kills by Tople and one from Simon, Berg led 21-16.Â
Riley Tople and
Sophia Simon dominated the net with nine kills a piece. Freshman
Emily Miller tacked on eight. Simon also led the team with three blocks.
Maddie Reed tallied 21 assists, while
Olivia Miller added 17 for the Student Princes.Â
Reagan Davis had 12 digs on the night.
Olivia Miller had six.Â
The women are on the road to New Concord on Saturday, Oct. 10 for a conference matchup against Muskingum University. First serve is set for 12 p.m.Â
