GREENWOOD, Ind. --
Drew Miller has been named an Academic All-American by College Sports Communicators (CSC), recognizing his impressive achievements both on the field and in the classroom. The program is one of the most prestigious academic honors in collegiate athletics.
Miller, a second team honoree by CSC, rushed for 1,383 yards and 12 touchdowns as a junior. He was a first team All-Ohio Athletic Conference running back and a D3football.com All-America third team honoree. Â
A finance major from Portland, Mich., Miller balances his education with competition -- playing both football and wrestling. Â
"Drew represents everything this award stands for," said Head Football Coach Scott Donaldson. "His commitment to excellence in the classroom matches the work ethic and leadership he brings to the football program and the wrestling program every day."
The CSC (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-America program has recognized the nation's top student-athletes for more than 70 years, honoring those who balance high-level athletic performance with academic success.
Miller is 'Berg Football's first Academic All-American since Tyler Hunter earned the honor in 2017. A medallion in his honor will be added to the Adams Academic All-America Plaza at Hoernemann Stadium.Â
