TIFFIN -- The Heidelberg University Track and Field Teams competed at Tiffin University's Jeremy Croy Classic Saturday to continue their 2026 season. 

SPRINTS & HURDLES

On the women's side, Emily Valencia took 4th in the 60m hurdles with a time of 13.33. Cameron Long finished 7th for the men (9.29).

Sophomore Travis Bolden took 6th place finish in the 60m prelims with a time of 7.23.

Lael Foster took 3rd in the 400m with an impressive time of 54.55. Jax Lytle finished 5th at 55.18.  Jacob Myers finished 8th in the 200m at 24.69.

Brianna Braatz placed 2nd in the 400m with a time of 1:02.19.

MID-DISTANCE

Freshman Briana Westrick had the only first place finish for the Student Princes, winning the women's 800m in 2:35.15. Lauren Hall followed in 3rd (2:36.91), Addie Horner in 6th (2:41.96), and Maddy McCall 7th (2:48.73). 

Freshman Adam Scott led the men with a 7th place finish at 2:01.38, followed closely by Augie Schweickert in 8th (2:08.41).

DISTANCE

The duo of Vanessa Shanaman and Lauren Hall took 6th and 7th in the mile respectively, with times of 5:39.00 and 5:44.58. Rounding out the mile, Maddy McCall in 9th (5:50.43), and Ana Henderson (6:41.17).

Freshman Dean Morrison led the way on the men's side, finishing 6th in the mile at 4:34.78. Close behind was James Henderson 7th (4:35.44), and Joe Brewster in 9th (4:36.68). 

Sophomore Emma Hintze shaved 17 seconds off her PR for a runner up finish in the 3000m (11:58.92). Rachel Mohr followed in 4th (12:42.82). Braden Cinato finished second on the men's side with a time of 9:21.36. 

FIELD EVENTS — THROWS 

Junior Amelia Lewin led the throwers with two scoring finishes. She placed 2nd in shot put at 11.56m, followed with 3rd in the weight throw at 13.03m. Freshman Isabella Grennell added a 4th place finish in shot put at 10.73m. Senior Kerry Copenhaver finished 5th in the weight throw at 12.11m. 

Senior Josiah Brown finished 6th in shot put at 13.19m, followed by Ethan Rieman in 8th at 12.73m and Ahmir Britt (11.26m). In the weight throw senior Adam Kauble added a 6th place finish at 14.27m, followed by Brown in 9th (12.37m).

FIELD EVENTS — JUMPS

Sophomore Ella Jacobs was runner up in the high jump with a mark of 1.47m. 

Freshman Jacob Myers took 8th in the long jump with a jump of 5.92m.

Sophomore Cornell Test placed 3rd in the pole vault with a jump of 3.85m. 

RELAYS

In the 4x400 relay, Augie Schweichert, Adam Scott, James Henderson, and Dean Morrison took home 1st place with a time of 3:34.74

The Student Princes will be back on the track Friday, January 30 at Ohio Northern University.
