Men's Soccer nipped by Terriers

HIRAM, Ohio -- The Heidelberg University Men's Soccer team battled Hiram on September 3, 2025, falling 4-1 at Charles A. Henry Field at Malmisur Stadium.

Hiram struck three times in the first half and added a fourth goal at 53:06 in the second half.

Heidelberg answered at the 75:01 mark, when Zachary Clark delivered a sizzling free kick, which Conner Cheezum headed into the top right corner of the net, closing out the scoring for the evening.

The Student Princes tallied 12 shots, with Clark leading the way with four attempts, one on target. Nate Eagan and Cheezum each contributed two shots, with Cheezum securing the lone goal for The 'Berg.

Hiram outshot Heidelberg 26-12, with 10 shots on target.

Mikael Paulson recorded six saves for the Student Princes.

Heidelberg is back in action on Saturday, September 6, against Earlham, with a 1:00 p.m. kickoff at Hoernemann Stadium.
